When a certified entity under Alabama DMH/MR develops new programs or services covered by DMH/MR standards, it must notify DMH/MR in writing and submit required documentation to demonstrate compliance with Life Safety and/or programmatic standards. DMH/MR will then conduct a Life Safety and/or programmatic review as needed before the new service may operate. This is a procedural requirement applicable to all entities certified under this chapter.
