Plain-English summary

When a certified entity under Alabama DMH/MR develops new programs or services covered by DMH/MR standards, it must notify DMH/MR in writing and submit required documentation to demonstrate compliance with Life Safety and/or programmatic standards. DMH/MR will then conduct a Life Safety and/or programmatic review as needed before the new service may operate. This is a procedural requirement applicable to all entities certified under this chapter.

 State Regulations 

 Compare

(1)
 When
 a certified entity develops new programs or services covered by DMH/MR
 standards, DMH/MR must be informed of the plan in writing and adequate
 documentation as specified by DMH/MR must be submitted to permit a
 determination that the plans are compliant with Life Safety/and/or programmatic
 standards established for that service/program.

(2)
 Once necessary documents and information
 are received, a Life Safety and/or programmatic review is conducted as needed.
