This regulation establishes inspection frequency and right-of-entry authority for Alabama Department of Mental Health licensed facilities: day service programs may be inspected annually and residential facilities semi-annually. Inspectors are authorized to enter, examine, and survey premises and adjoining structures at any reasonable time. The rule applies to both residential and day service programs governed by this chapter, which covers mental health and substance abuse residential facilities (various sizes) as well as substance abuse day services.
