This regulation requires Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) licensed mental health and substance abuse service providers to develop and implement written incident management policies and procedures consistent with the ADMH MHSAS Incident Management Plan. Providers must train all staff on incident management and abuse/neglect policies prior to starting duties and on a recurring basis. Staff responsible for conducting or supervising investigations must complete ADMH-required training.

(2) The provider's Incident Management Plan shall comply with all local, state and federal laws. (3) The provider shall provide training for all staff prior to initiation of duties and as needed thereafter on agency's policies and procedures to support compliance with the most recent published ADMH MHSAS Incident Management Plan. (4) The provider shall provide training for all staff prior to initiation of duties and annually thereafter on agency's policies and procedures regarding abuse and neglect.
