Role And Function

This section establishes the role and function of providers operating under contract with the Alabama Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation (DMH/MR). Providers must develop and deliver services within available resources, while DMH/MR retains authority over confirmation, enrollment, and eligibility determinations for individuals receiving contracted services. This is an administrative governance provision applicable to the provider network overseen by the department.
