This rule establishes which providers may contract directly with the Alabama Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation (DMH/MR) for behavioral health programs and services not otherwise covered under chapter 580-2-1. Covered service types include inpatient, outpatient/therapy, partial hospitalization, emergency care, residential/respite care, rehabilitation/habilitation, and other programs addressing mental or emotional illness, alcoholism, drug addiction, epilepsy, or intellectual disability. Operators seeking to contract with DMH/MR for any of these services must meet the certification and administrative standards set forth in this chapter.
