This regulation establishes fire safety requirements for alcohol-based hand rub (ABHR) dispensers, specifying conditions related to corridor width, dispenser capacity, spacing, aggregate volume limits, storage compliance, ignition source proximity, flooring type, alcohol concentration, and access controls. These are physical plant and life safety standards derived from the 2012 Life Safety Code and applicable CMS conditions of participation. Facility operators must ensure all listed conditions are met or that dispensers are protected per NFPA/LSC section 8.7.3.1.
