This Kentucky statute establishes the procedural framework for involuntary treatment of persons with substance use disorder under Casey's Law, directing that such proceedings follow KRS 222.430–222.437. It also guarantees that persons ordered into involuntary SUD treatment retain the same rights afforded to involuntarily hospitalized mentally ill persons under KRS Chapters 202A and 210. The statute governs the legal process and patient rights rather than licensing or operating standards for any specific facility type.
