10604 PSYCHIATRIC CRISIS STABILIZATION
10604.1 Psychiatric crisis stabilization services are residential services that offer therapeutic, community-based, home-like treatment for individuals living in the community who need support to ameliorate psychiatric symptoms and, based upon a psychiatric assessment conducted on-site, are deemed appropriate for services within a structured, closely monitored temporary setting.
10604.2 Psychiatric crisis stabilization includes the following covered services:
Comprehensive nursing assessment and plan of care development;
Psychiatric consultation and assessment;
Crisis counseling;
Medication monitoring; and
Discharge planning.
10604.3 Psychiatric Crisis Stabilization services shall be:
Billed using a per-diem unit; and
Delivered in accordance with requirements set forth in Chapter 80 of Title 22-A DCMR.
