10600 BEHAVIORAL HEALTH STABILIZATION

10600.1 Behavioral Health Stabilization services address an unplanned behavioral health crisis event that does not require hospitalization. 

10600.2 Effective January 1, 2022, Medicaid reimbursable Behavioral Health Stabilization services shall include interventions in the following programs: 

(a) Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (“CPEP”); 

(b) Adult Mobile Crisis and Outreach; 

(c) Youth Mobile Crisis; and

(d) Psychiatric Crisis Stabilization.

10600.3 Medicaid beneficiaries who meet the requirements set forth in Chapter 80 of Title 22-A DCMR shall be eligible to receive Behavioral Health Stabilization services.

10600.4 Behavioral Health Stabilization services shall be delivered in accordance with the requirements set forth in Chapter 80 of Title 22-A DCMR. 

10600.5 Behavioral Health Stabilization service providers shall be certified in accordance with the requirements set forth in Chapter 80 of Title 22-A DCMR.
