Medicaid-enrolled providers of waiver services must maintain beneficiary records and individual treatment plans in a manner that supports audit and review. Providers must grant full access to all records upon request to DHCF, DBH, HHS, and other authorized federal and District government officials, including during unannounced audits or reviews.
View official source8615 ACCESS TO RECORDS 8615.1 Each Medicaid-enrolled provider of waiver services shall maintain beneficiary records and individual treatment plans in a manner that will render them amenable to audit and review by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, DHCF, DBH, and their authorized designees or agents. Providers must allow appropriate DHCF personnel, DBH personnel, representatives of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and other authorized designees or officials of the District of Columbia government and federal government full access to all records upon request and during announced or unannounced audits or reviews.
