Plain-English summary

This section establishes physical facility standards for psychiatric outpatient clinics licensed under 55 Pa. Code Chapter 5200. Operators must provide adequate, well-maintained space, equipment, and supplies to deliver outpatient services effectively, including a culturally sensitive waiting room, private therapy/conference rooms, and office space for clinical staff. A psychiatric outpatient clinic is defined by its staff and organizational structure rather than a single building, and may operate at multiple sites if each site meets these physical standards; the Department issues a single certificate of compliance listing all sites.
