This regulation requires that a partial hospitalization unit be organized as a separate, identifiable unit with its own director or supervisor and defined staffing pattern. If the unit is part of a larger organization, the director's responsibilities must be clearly defined and documented in an organizational chart. The unit must maintain a written description of all services on file and available to the Department, and must notify the Department of any major changes to its organizational structure or services.
