This regulation requires that an individualized treatment plan be formulated for each patient in an adult partial hospitalization program by a treatment team. The treatment team must include a treatment team leader (who must be a mental health professional), a psychiatrist when the team leader is not one, and other appropriate staff. For patients undergoing involuntary treatment, the treatment team leader must be a physician or psychologist.
