This section establishes supervision requirements for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PRS) programs licensed under 55 Pa. Code Chapter 5230. The PRS director must supervise all staff, with the option to delegate supervisory functions to a psychiatric rehabilitation specialist. Supervisors must conduct individual meetings with staff at least twice per calendar month (minimum 30 minutes each, audio-only not permitted), provide group supervision through monitoring, goal-attainment discussions, and staff meetings, and conduct annual staff evaluations reviewed and approved by the PRS director.

(b) A psychiatric rehabilitation specialist may perform supervisory functions as delegated by the PRS director, consistent with approved job descriptions for the two positions. (c) A PRS director or psychiatric rehabilitation specialist designated as a supervisor shall meet with staff individually no less than two times per calendar month for at least 30 minutes. (d) A PRS director or psychiatric rehabilitation specialist designated as a supervisor shall provide group supervision utilizing the following methods: (1) Monitoring active PRS delivery.
