Plain-English summary

This section requires Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) agencies to maintain written coordination agreements with other service providers (psychiatric inpatient facilities, partial hospitalization programs, outpatient clinics, crisis intervention programs, and MH/IDD case management programs), updating those agreements at least every five years. Agencies must also maintain and annually update a community resource list of behavioral health services available to parents, guardians, caregivers, and the children/youth/young adults they serve. Additionally, agencies must have a written referral process for clients whose needs exceed the agency's capacity and document those referrals in agency records.
