This regulation requires the governing body of a Community Residential Rehabilitation Service (CRRS) to ensure clients are compensated for work performed in accordance with federal wage and hour regulations (CFR Part 529). Exceptions apply for personal housekeeping tasks related to the client's own space or possessions, and for shared routine household chores among a small group of residents. Facility operators must have policies in place to distinguish compensable work from exempt household responsibilities.
