Pa. Code 3800.56

This section provides grandfather exceptions to staff qualification requirements under Chapter 3800 for staff hired or promoted before October 26, 1999. It also exempts facilities previously certified under Chapter 5310 (community residential rehabilitation for the mentally ill) or Chapter 6400 (community homes for individuals with intellectual disabilities) from certain age requirements for child care workers hired prior to that date. Facility operators must ensure that only pre-October 26, 1999 hires are covered by these exceptions; staff hired after that date must meet current qualification standards.
