This chapter establishes minimum operating standards for Long-Term Structured Residences (LTSRs) serving individuals with serious mental illness in Pennsylvania. It applies only in counties affected by the closure or consolidation of a State mental hospital, where a county/State hospital integrated project has been approved, or where LTSRs are included in an approved county plan. Facility operators must meet these standards as a prerequisite to licensure and ongoing operation.
