Mental Health Community Residential Facilities (MHCRFs) must actively assist residents who are not enrolled with a Department-certified Core Services Agency or other mental health provider to enroll with a provider of their choice, documenting that assistance in the resident's file. If a resident stops receiving mental health services, the MHCRF must encourage and offer to help the resident re-engage with services, document the outcome (including any refusal), and immediately notify the Department if the resident declines mental health services.
View official source3842 ASSISTING RESIDENTS TO RECEIVE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES 3842.1 If a resident is not already enrolled with a Department-certified Core Services Agency or other provider of mental health services, the MHCRF shall encourage and assist the resident in enrolling with a CSA or other provider of the resident’s choice and shall document this assistance in the resident’s files. 3842.2 If the MHCRF learns that a resident is no longer receiving mental health services, the MHCRF shall encourage and offer to assist the resident in obtaining these services and shall document such assistance or the resident’s refusal to accept assistance in the resident’s files.
