This regulation requires SUD Employment Specialists to be integrated into the referring SUD provider's treatment team for clients receiving Supported Employment services. Specialists must attend regular treatment team meetings, maintain frequent contact with team members, and align their employment-focused services with the client's SUD person-centered Plan of Care. They may also participate in updating that Plan of Care as it relates to employment goals.
View official source3712 INTEGRATION WITH THE SUD TREATMENT TEAM 3712.1 SUD Employment Specialists shall be integrated as part of the Supported Employment client’s referring SUD provider’s treatment team. The SUD Employment Specialist shall attend regular treatment team meetings and maintain frequent contact with treatment team members. 3712.2 As a treatment team member, the SUD Employment Specialist may participate in updating the SUD person-centered Plan of Care and is responsible for helping the client achieve the goals written in the Plan of Care with regard to employment. 3712.3 Services provided by the SUD Employment Specialist should be consistent with the goals relating to employment included in the client’s SUD person-centered Plan of Care.
