A psychiatric hospital that intends to provide ongoing, structured, and systematic drug and alcohol activities must first obtain a license from the Department. Such facilities must comply with this subchapter as well as the general provisions, licensing procedures, and applicable general standards for freestanding treatment activities set out in the broader chapter. This rule governs the drug and alcohol treatment activities conducted within psychiatric hospitals, not the psychiatric hospital license itself.
