This regulation requires that any hospital providing inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification services, or combined detoxification and treatment/rehabilitation services, must designate a qualified director of drug and alcohol services responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and managing those services. The director must be qualified by both education and experience. This applies to hospital-based inpatient drug and alcohol programs governed under Chapter 710.
