This section requires the service director of a drug and alcohol treatment and rehabilitation service to develop a written admission plan covering criteria for admission, treatment models, completion requirements, and involuntary discharge criteria. Admission procedures must document disclosure of these criteria to patients, patient orientation to service policies and available services, and an initial treatment and rehabilitation plan. It is part of a chapter governing drug and alcohol treatment and rehabilitation services (distinct from the detoxification subchapter), under Pennsylvania's DDAP/OMHSAS regulatory framework.
