This regulation requires drug and alcohol projects that are not physically located within a parent health care facility to maintain a written medication control policy. The policy must address administration, storage, inspection, accountability, security, inventories, and handling of medication errors and adverse drug reactions. Compliance staff at standalone SUD treatment facilities must ensure this written policy is in place and covers all enumerated elements.
