This regulation requires a drug and alcohol project that is not physically located within its parent health care facility to maintain a written medication control policy. The policy must address administration, storage, inspection, accountability, security, inventories, and handling of medication errors and drug reactions. Compliance staff at standalone SUD treatment sites must ensure this written policy is in place and covers all enumerated elements.
