This section establishes physical plant requirements for methadone/opioid treatment projects that are not located within a health care facility, requiring annual site visits to verify adequacy of counseling areas, office space, lavatories, fire safety equipment and exits, general maintenance, a Certificate of Occupancy, and compliance with local ordinances. Facility operators must ensure these physical standards are met and documented on an annual basis. The requirements apply to the licensed project site itself rather than to embedded clinical operations within a hospital or health care facility.
