This section requires the project director of an opioid treatment program to develop a written intake and admission plan covering admission criteria, treatment methodology, completion requirements, and involuntary discharge criteria. Intake procedures must document client disclosure, orientation to the program, medical and drug/alcohol histories, consent to treatment, physical examination (if applicable), psychosocial evaluation, and a preliminary treatment and rehabilitation plan. These requirements apply to facilities licensed under 28 Pa. Code Chapter 711, which governs opioid treatment programs (methadone/narcotic treatment programs) in Pennsylvania.
