This section allows the Pennsylvania Department to grant exceptions or time extensions to Chapter 717 requirements for drug and alcohol recovery houses, provided the house demonstrates it meets the chapter's policy objectives and the exception does not violate any statute. All exception requests must be submitted in writing. Compliance staff should ensure any requests for regulatory relief are documented and submitted in writing to the Department.

Code § 717.4 - Exceptions State Regulations Compare (a) The Department may in its discretion grant exceptions or extensions of time to this chapter upon a showing by a drug and alcohol recovery house that it meets the policy objectives of this chapter.
