View official source9535.4041 MEDICATION MONITORING SERVICES. When a child is taking psychotropic medication prescribed by a physician, medication monitoring services must be designed to assist the child, the child's parent or legal representative, and, with the written consent of the child or the child's parent or legal representative, other persons who provide direct care to the child. The services must assist the child, parent or representative, or direct caregiver to: § A. obtain information about the psychotropic medication that has been prescribed for the child; § B. watch for physical or behavioral changes in the child which may be caused by the child's use of, misuse of, or failure to take the prescribed psychotropic medication; and § C. obtain access to and assistance from the child's source of medical care.
