This rule permits a case manager employed by or under contract with a county to provide additional mental health services—beyond their case management duties—to children (upon request of a parent/legal representative or the child) or adults, provided the case manager meets the minimum qualifications required for those services under Minnesota Statutes §§ 245.462–245.4887. When a case manager provides such other mental health services, that time must not be counted among case management functions and must be prorated when calculating full-time equivalent positions required under the staffing standards. This section is part of a chapter governing community mental health center licensing and operations.
