This regulation establishes the scope of Article 60, which governs the licensing of community mental health centers in Kansas under the Department for Children and Families. It applies to centers organized as community mental health centers under K.S.A. 19-4001, mental health clinics under K.S.A. 65-211, and affiliated centers meeting the exception in K.S.A. 75-3307b(b). Operators of these entities must comply with the standards for services and programs set forth throughout Article 60.

The regulations set forth in this article shall provide for the licensing of, and set the standards for the services and programs required of, community mental health centers, including the following: (a) Each center organized as a community mental health center pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 19-4001 et seq., and amendments thereto; (b) each center organized as a mental health clinic pursuant to the provisions of K.S.A. 65-211 et seq., and amendments thereto; and (c) each affiliated center meeting the exception specified in K.S.A. 75-3307b (b), and amendments thereto.
