Each agency licensed or applying for a license under this article must comply with the Kansas Act Against Discrimination. This civil rights compliance requirement applies to psychiatric hospitals, community mental health centers, and facilities for the mentally retarded and handicapped persons covered by Article 22. Facility operators must ensure their policies and practices conform to Kansas anti-discrimination law as a condition of licensure.
