All licensed provider agencies (PAs) in New Jersey must establish internal consumer complaint procedures that are subject to DOH review and approval at initial and triennial licensing. The procedures must allow consumers or their designees to file grievances about services provided or not provided, seek redress, and have corrective action taken. The complaint policy must be posted publicly at the PA office, provided to each consumer at program entry, and any complaint activity must be documented in the consumer's clinical record.
